What the "ghost baby" actually turned out to be has everyone laughing—her post on Facebook detailing the incident has been shared more than 290,000 times.
on October 17th, Maritza was watching her baby boy sleeping peacefully in his crib from her monitoring baby camera.
The baby face was on a label still attached to the child’s mattress, and it showed up on the baby monitor because the boy had drooled onto it.
All of a sudden, she saw from the baby camera what appeared to be a ghost baby face sleeping next to her child. Maritza was so stunned as if she saw a clip of a horror movie, but she decided to ignore it because she thought her brain was playing games on her.
She posted this image and what happened to her on facebook, and people started to get worried for the baby.
The next day— Maritza was watching the baby camera really closely but didn’t find anything out of the ordinary.
She then found a logical explanation… it was really stupid.
The baby face was a picture embedded on the mattress. On the night of the incident her husband forgot to cover the mattress with a bedsheet cover. Thus the baby face appearing on that particular day.
She then told everyone on Facebook what really happened and everyone had a laugh.
Turns out, there was no "ghost baby," but instead an image of a cute baby on the label of the mattress. The light came through just enough that the image was projected through the sheets, something a mattress protector would typically hide.
Yes, hubby would definitely be in the dog house for that.
