Simple steps on how to make noodles at home, with or without pasta machine

 In today’s article, I want to show you how to make Noodles by yourself. I know some of us can always afford to buy Noddles anytime but I will advise each and everyone of you to learn how to make it by yourself. Some preservatives are dangerous to health but knowing how to make some things by yourself helps you to minimize the intake of preservatives in your various homes.Homemade Noddles is not only fun and easy recipe to make in your own kitchen, but nothing compares to the taste and texture.


Homemade Noddles is something everyone should make at least once in their lifetime. I’m sure 99% of us cook the basic dried Noddles that comes in a pack. There’s no harm in doing it by yourself. This recipe is easy to follow, even for beginner cooks. The Noddles not only tastes great, but the texture is absolutely perfect.



 

I want to show you two methods of making Noddles by yourself. If you don’t have pasta machine, don’t worry I have a method for you here. Now let’s walk down to the methods, step by step with pictures.



The First Method


Here are the ingredients you need.


2 cups of all-purpose flour, one cup of whole wheat flour or semolina flour, half teaspoon of salt, one cup of water and half teaspoon of olive oil.


Now get a clean bowl for mixing the ingredients.


This is two cups of all-purpose flour.


This is one cup of whole wheat flour.


Half teaspoon of salt to taste.


Add a little water at a time and mix. If the dough needs more water, you add more. But for it to be easily cut, I will advise you to avoid too much water.


Mix all the ingredients in the bowl to make a dough.


Once the dough is ready, add one teaspoon of oil and leave for five minutes.


Transfer the dough to a clean surface.


Here the dough was divided, one for hand cutting and the other to be cut with pasta machine.


Roll the dough with a rolling pin to make a thin sheet. Before you roll, dust your work top with some plain flour to avoid sticking. Roll the sheet into oblong shape and not rectangular or square shape because rectangular or square shape will give you long Noddles.


Fold the sheet before cutting.


Now it’s time to cut your Noddles. Make sure your knife is sharp and always sprinkle some flour while cutting.


Now your favourite Noddles is ready to be cooked. You can dry it under the sun and cook it later.


The Second MethodThis is for those who have pasta machine or wish to buy it. This is pasta machine and the second dough that was set aside.


Put the dough in the machine and roll.


Put it back again and roll till a thin sheet is obtained. Set the knob of your pasta machine at number six before rolling.


Now set the knob at number four and roll again to get a thinner sheet.


Change the settings again to number two to make the sheet thinner.


This is the head of the pasta machine. It has four different shapes. To get the shape of the Noddles you see in the market, fix your dough where the hand pointed. Fix the head at the back of the machine.


As you can see, the head has been fixed.


Trim uneven edge of the sheet.


Hold the sheet and locate the handle of the machine.


Now the Noddles are coming out.





Once the Noddles are out of the machine, sprinkle some flour to avoid sticking together.


Now your favourite Noddles is ready for cooking or drying.


You can add egg before mixing the ingredients but it is optional. People like to cook Noddles with eggs so there is no need to add it.This is also good for those who wish to start the business tommorow. You don’t need to pay anybody to learn it. It is as simple as you are seeing it.
